Staking Platforms, Trading Groups, Lending Opportunities and more
I usually do a quick round-up of my current DeFi investments each month to report back what’s working and what isn’t. This is the first one of 2025.
PRYZM
First up is Pryzm. I wrote an article on the platform a while ago here:
I have been staking and providing liquidity in their various options for a few weeks, and I have been accumulating rewards.
As of today I have earned over 75’000 photons in rewards and approximately 84 Pryzm tokens.
This puts me at 867th on the current leaderboard, not that I’m really following that, but it helps to give one some perspective on one’s investments.

The Pryzm user-base is growing steadily and is currently at 52,182 participants. There has been $24.08M TVL already deposited into the platform! All these investors will share at least 50,000,000 PRYZM tokens (5% of the genesis supply). Simply deposit into a liquidity pool and earn up to 87.76% Real Yield plus 60 Photons per dollar per day!

Toon Pool
Toon Pool is a simple staking dApp on the Solana chain. You go to the dApp and claim your reward if you have been referred by someone. Then you can convert your SOL to TOON and stake it. The TOON costs a fraction of a cent so it’s easy to get a lot of it at the moment. There are currently over 60 billions tokens staked.
These types of platforms always need to come with a warning; you could potentially make decent money with them, but once the TVL is drained then the payouts will stop. I used a Phantom wallet to connect the site. This is more of a degen play and I would recommend only using risk capital.
How does it work?
You deposit your Toon tokens into the platform’s staking pool for a specific period. These tokens are then locked and used to support the platform’s ecosystem.
Earn Rewards:While your tokens are staked, you earn rewards based on the Annual Percentage Yield (APY). The reward rate depends on factors like the total staked amount, staking duration, and market conditions.
Flexible Options:Depending on the platform’s rules, you can choose between fixed-term or flexible staking: Fixed-term staking offers higher APY but requires you to lock tokens for a predetermined time. Flexible staking allows you to withdraw tokens anytime but may offer lower rewards.
Claim Rewards:Rewards are typically distributed periodically and can be claimed through your dashboard. These rewards can either be reinvested into staking or withdrawn to your wallet.
GATE Staking and Lending
Gate is one of my favorite crypto exchanges to use (after Nexo). Gate currently has some brilliant staking and lending options with good APRs. They also have a nice Launchpool where you can earn tokens from up and coming projects easily.
