Solana trader Kimchi added Pump.fun back to his X bio on Sunday, October 25, three days after removing it, and the KIMCHI meme coin briefly jumped more than 150%. The move reopens the Kimchi crypto saga that began with a deleted token post and a crash last week. Neither Kimchi nor Pump.fun has explained either change.

The comeback landed hours before Pump.fun’s $2.5 million Squads trading competition opens on Monday. The PUMP token hasn’t followed: it trades at $0.0042, down 20% from last Wednesday’s high. So what happened, and what does the bio change mean?

3 days after removing @pumpfun from his bio, @kimchi1x has added it back.$Kimchi briefly surged over 150%.

Coincidentally, trader ja2trader spent $28.9K buying 4.61M $Kimchi just hours before @kimchi1x added @pumpfun back to his bio, and is now up $11K.… pic.twitter.com/Wy02vID70j

Kimchi Crypto Recap: What Happened Last Week?

It went from a signing to a crash in two days.

October 20: Pump.fun signed Kimchi, a trader with more than 220,000 followers, to help set its “creative direction.” That night, he posted his October vlog, and a token called KIMCHI (“Aura Final Boss”) started trading within a minute of the post.
October 21: Kimchi withdrew 1.35 billion PUMP, then worth about $6.4 million, from Binance and OKX. Pump.fun hasn’t disclosed his terms.
October 22: Kimchi posted a poster for a new token, “Project Kimchi.” Pump.fun co-founder Alon reposted it, and the coin hit about $15 million in market value within minutes. Then Alon pulled his repost, Kimchi deleted the post, and the token crashed 98% to about $284,000.
October 23: Kimchi removed @pumpfun from his bio and deleted earlier Pump.fun posts.

Some traders said his account had been hacked. Nobody confirmed it, and on-chain tracker Lookonchain found that a group of early wallets made more than $385,000 from the crash.

KIMCHI Crypto Is Back: What Changed This Weekend?

The bio is back, with the vlog link next to it. That was enough for the market. KIMCHI doubled from about $6 million to $14 million in market value almost instantly, then gave back part of the move. It now sits near $8.8 million on DEX Screener, up about 50% in 24 hours.

One wallet saw it coming. A trader named ja2trader spent $28,900 on 4.61 million $Kimchi hours before the bio change and was up $11,000 when Lookonchain flagged it. That doesn’t prove anyone tipped them off, but it is the second time in a week that a Kimchi move came with well-timed buyers.

So what is happening? Most likely, the deal is restored, or it never truly concluded. The timing points that way. Pump.fun’s Squads competition, with $1.5 million for the winning team, opens on Monday at 14:00 UTC, and Alon has spent the weekend promoting it. A trader with Kimchi’s following is exactly who the launchpad wants on its leaderboard.

The risk is trust. Pump.fun still hasn’t explained the deleted repost, and Kimchi hasn’t said whether he was hacked. Each silent move now sends a token up or down within minutes, which rewards whoever acts first. Until one of them speaks, traders are betting on a bio line.

PUMP Price: Which Levels Matter?

PUMPUSDT TradingView

The Kimchi deal hasn’t helped PUMP so far. The token climbed to $0.005224 on October 21, the day after the signing, then lost 18% in five days. It now trades below its 50-day EMA at $0.004607.

The first support is $0.003832, the October 18 low. Below it, $0.00375 is the floor that held in late September. On the upside, PUMP needs to reclaim the 50-day EMA first, and then $0.005224 to show the Kimchi news is helping.
