Iran War Polymarket odds say Washington ends the blockade eventually, just not soon. Traders price a 61% chance that the U.S. officially announces an end to its naval blockade on Iranian ships by March 31, 2027, while U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says the squeeze is working.
Adm. Brad Cooper, who heads CENTCOM, said in a video update on October 16 that the blockade has kept Iran from exporting at least $25 billion worth of crude. He added that the U.S. and its partners have frozen nearly $350 million in Iranian crypto.

What do the Iran war Polymarket odds actually price?
A public announcement, not ships moving. The Polymarket contract resolves “Yes” only if the U.S. government officially and clearly announces the end, lifting or suspension of the blockade on Iranian ships and their customers.
An exemption for one vessel, cargo or port doesn’t count, and neither do leaks or hints. A clear statement counts even if some restrictions, such as fees, stay in place.

Traders expect pressure first and a deal later. Nearly 22 points of probability sit in the first quarter of 2027 alone. The event has traded $41.4 million since July with about $430,000 in liquidity, which is deep enough to take seriously and thin enough that one official statement could reprice the whole curve.

A $25 billion Squeeze, With Limits
Iran is withholding pay and benefits across energy, manufacturing, construction and security, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Inflation runs near 90%, and retirees have protested over unpaid pensions. The $25 billion is CENTCOM’s own number. Nobody has audited it yet.
The pressure also has a ceiling. Iran’s Gulf neighbors keep exporting under U.S. military protection, so regional oil flows sit near prewar levels. Iran’s cargoes that were already at sea are nearly gone, with payments that could run into December. Tehran’s income is under pressure. The oil market barely feels it.
For Bitcoin geopolitical risk, the link runs through oil and interest rates. As long as Gulf crude keeps flowing, the blockade on its own shouldn’t move BTC much. A fresh disruption would revive inflation worries and push back rate-cut hopes, a mix that tends to hit risk assets first.
