Well folks I just finished day 2 and it was a biggun. I spent about 12 hours straight writing unit tests but all functionality is now covered and everything is nice and green.

Nothing really unexpected came up today, the bulk of the work was spent just handling various edge cases around the more juicy game logic, but overall it was more of a marathon than a battle.

Unit tests are always the most mentally taxing part of any project, but they’re also what everything else hinges on being right, so there aren’t really any shortcuts here.

I’m pretty keen to get a few hours away from screens today so I’ll wrap this up here. Tune in again tomorrow and I will hopefully have the whole thing integrated into a frontend.
