As of 15 August 2025, BlackRock holds over 740,000 BTC through IBIT \u2013 3.72% of Bitcoin\u2019s total supply. This makes BlackRock one of the largest single pools of Bitcoin exposure globally, second only to Satoshi Nakamoto\u2019s estimated 1:1 million BTC.<\/span><\/p>\n

This purchase brings its total holdings to a staggering 629,376 BTC,<\/span> nearly 3% of all Bitcoin in circulation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Metaplanet, the Japanese firm <\/span>quickly becoming\u00a0<\/span>Asia\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0most visible Bitcoin-heavy public company,\u00a0<\/span>isn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0slowing down either. The company just acquired 775 BTC at an average price of about $119,853 each.\u00a0<\/span>That\u2019s<\/span> a bold move, especially considering the<\/span>\u00a0average cost basis across all holdings now sits at roughly $101,726 per coin.<\/span><\/p>\n
