Trump Media and Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, has accumulated $2 billion in Bitcoin and Bitcoin-related securities as part of its newly implemented crypto treasury strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notably, the $2 billion in Bitcoin and Bitcoin-linked securities now represents about two-thirds of Trump Media\u2019s $3 billion in total liquid assets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a 21 July 2025 Bloomberg report,<\/a> TMTG CEO Devin Nunes said, \u201cWe\u2019re rigorously implementing our publicly announced strategy and fulfilling our bitcoin treasury plan. These assets help ensure our company\u2019s financial freedom, help protect us against discrimination by financial institutions, and will create synergies with the utility token we\u2019re planning to introduce across the Truth Social ecosphere.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The news sent TMTG\u2019s shares soaring by over 8 % in early trading. Interestingly, the positive market reaction signals pro-crypto sentiments. Moreover, the news comes as Bitcoin trades near $118,000, just below its recent ATH of $123k set last week.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, TMTG is reportedly looking to partner with platforms like Crypto.com to launch exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Bitcoin and the Cronos blockchain.<\/p>\n

Back in January 2025<\/a>, TMTG said, \u201cTo diversify the company\u2019s cash and cash-equivalent reserves of over $700 million as of 31 December 2024, the board has approved the investment of up to $250 million to be custodied by Charles Schwab.\u201d At the time, the company said that the funds may be allocated to customized separately managed accounts (SMAs), customized ETFs and Bitcoin, similar cryptocurrencies or crypto-related securities.<\/p>\n
