With this finality time, Cronos ranks in the top 10 fastest blockchains for on-chain finality, bringing it on par with competitors such as Aptos, SEI, SUI, Solana, and others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This jump in speed is also aided by recent scalability modifications, including <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cosmos.network\/blockstm-and-memiavl-boosting-cronos-chain-e6baa779c679\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>BlockTSM,<\/span><\/a><span> the parallel execution engine, which was introduced in the Pallene upgrade released in December last year. It enabled multiple transactions to be processed simultaneously within each block.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Both of these upgrades combined are expected to:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Increase transaction throughput (TPS)<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Enable near-instant responsiveness<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Improve developer user experience (UX)<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Reduce latency for real-time interactions on-chain<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mirko Zhao, Cronos Labs Lead and Head of Product &amp; Engineering, commented:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBy unlocking sub-second performance, we\u2019re not just making the network faster \u2014 we\u2019re enabling a new class of ultra-fast blockchain applications.
