If you\u2019ve been here a while, you know the playbook. Back in 2021, the signals were clear: institutions were loading up, BTC was flying off exchanges, and supply was drying up fast. Everyone expected six figures. We got a war, inflation, rate hikes\u200a\u2014\u200aand a chart that laughed in our\u00a0face.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s them<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Institutions Are Eating\u00a0First<\/h3>\n

You missed this one? Ten days ago, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong<\/strong> casually mentioned that he\u2019s been in talks with the White House<\/em>. Their plan? Acquire 100,000 to 200,000 BTC\u200a\u2014\u200athis\u00a0year.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re talking billions of dollars in sovereign-scale buys. At the same time, MicroStrategy<\/strong> continues to gobble up so much BTC that it\u2019s outpacing mining production<\/em>. Their buying spree alone has reduced Bitcoin\u2019s inflation by\u00a02.3%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In case that didn\u2019t register: a single company<\/em> is making Bitcoin even more deflationary than its code intended.<\/p>\n

Now consider this: Miners aren\u2019t selling to the open market anymore. They\u2019re cutting deals directly<\/em> with world banks and institutions. OTC desks are drying up. The only BTC left on exchanges is retail panic-selling<\/strong>\u200a\u2014\u200afragments of coins from frustrated holders with 0.1 or 0.05\u00a0BTC.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s buying those panic sells? BlackRock. Banks. Sovereign funds. The very system Bitcoin was designed to\u00a0replace.<\/p>\n
