USDT0, a crosschain stablecoin engineered by Everdawn and Layer Zero, is the omnichain-ready bridged version of Tether\u2019s USDt. With this integration, Optimism becomes the latest blockchain to be supported by Bitfinex so its customers can deposit and withdraw USDT0 on this network, and follows similar integrations on Ink<\/a> and Arbitrum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Optimism is a layer\u20112 scaling solution<\/a> for Ethereum that leverages optimistic rollup technology to enhance transaction throughput and reduce fees. Recent<\/a> Superchain data shows that the OP Superchain currently processes approximately 52% of all transactions on Ethereum\u2019s layer-2 (L2), compared to 36.6% in September, while the Total Value Locked (TVL) on the network has surpassed $4.2 billion.<\/p>\n

Developed by Everdawn and Layer Zero, USDT0 is managed by the USDT0 Consortium, an ecosystem initiative launched by a consortium using LayerZero\u2019s OFT standard, and which is designed to expand USDt utility across blockchains. Bitfinex customers can convert their USDt balances into USDT0 directly on the platform and then withdraw them to supported blockchains.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Designed for seamless interoperability on the Optimism network, Bitfinex\u2019s support of USDT0 on the Optimism network is the latest addition to the stablecoin\u2019s rollout. This integration marks Bitfinex\u2019s response to current market demands by enhancing stablecoin liquidity and transaction efficiency on a high-performance L2 platform.<\/p>\n
