The world\u2019s largest crypto exchange <\/span>conducts periodic reviews on all listed trading pairs<\/span> on its platform, removing those showing poor liquidity and trading volume.<\/span> Based on its latest research, it <\/span>decided<\/span><\/a> to delist BAND\/TRY, LSK\/ETH, NTRN\/BTC, and<\/span> PROM\/BTC. <\/span><\/p>\n

The effort <\/span>is scheduled<\/span> to come into effect on September 13. \u201cUsers <\/span>are strongly advised<\/span> to update <\/span>and\/or<\/span> cancel their Spot Trading Bots <\/span>prior to<\/span> the cessation of Spot Trading Bots services to avoid any potential losses,\u201d Binance warned.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company revealed that ceasing support for the <\/span>aforementioned pairs<\/span> does not affect the availability of the tokens on Binance Spot since \u201cusers can still trade the spot trading pair\u2019s base and quote assets on other trading pair(s) that are available on Binance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Reduced support on such a <\/span>major<\/span> trading venue could negatively impact the price of the involved cryptocurrencies due to decreased availability, a decline of confidence, and fear of broader delisting. BAND, LSK, NTRN, and PROM are all <\/span>in the<\/span> red on a 24-hour scale, recording mild decreases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that their underperformance coincides with an overall slump in the crypto industry<\/span>, whose<\/span> global market cap dropped by 2% daily and is currently set at around $2.08 trillion (per <\/span>CoinGecko\u2019s<\/span> data).<\/span><\/p>\n

Binance\u2019s Previous Amendments<\/span><\/h2>\n

Besides adding new trading pairs and removing existing ones, the company also regularly makes other improvements<\/span>.<\/span> Earlier this month, <\/span>it <\/span>increased<\/span><\/a> the collateral ratio for several cryptocurrencies,\u00a0such as <\/span>some<\/span> trending meme coins like Floki Inu (FLOKI) and Dogs (DOGS).<\/span><\/p>\n

The update took approximately one hour, after which <\/span>FLOKI\u2019s<\/span> ratio was raised<\/span> to 40% from the previous 35%. DOGS witnessed an even more substantial hike: from 10% to 30%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is usually displayed as a percentage, reflecting the value of the collateral compared to the borrowed amount. Shortly after, Binance <\/span>conducted<\/span><\/a> wallet maintenance for BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). It temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals on the network, resuming services after completing the effort.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
