However, multiple developments and events hint that a final resolution could be just around the corner.\u00a0<\/span>One example is the regulator\u2019s Sunshine Act meeting scheduled for February 27, which<\/span>\u00a0will be closed to the public and will <\/span>touch upon<\/span> numerous matters.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Some X users noted that Ripple\u2019s native token will also be included in the discussions this time<\/span>.<\/span> The analyst using the moniker ALLINCRYPTO <\/span>outlined<\/span><\/a> that the SEC will <\/span>particularly<\/span> focus on Bitwise\u2019s application to introduce a spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that the Commission has already <\/span>acknowledged<\/span><\/a> the company\u2019s filing, meaning it must officially approve or reject the product\u2019s launch within 240 days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A potential green light would double down on the SEC\u2019s pro-crypto approach since <\/span>the departure of Gary Gensler. Recall that the<\/span> former Chairman (who was known for his hostile stance toward the digital asset industry) <\/span>resigned<\/span><\/a> on January 20 and was succeeded by Mark Uyeda.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the new leadership, the agency <\/span>dismissed<\/span><\/a> several lawsuits<\/span>, including those<\/span> against Coinbase and Uniswap.<\/span> In addition, <\/span>the case versus Binance was <\/span>paused<\/span><\/a> for 60 days.<\/span><\/p>\n
