Since many ARB holders support this proposal, the Arbitrum DAO executed it yesterday, February 18. The impact of this proposal has already been tested,<\/span>\u00a0<span>with<\/span><span> simulations <\/span><span>showing<\/span><span> no signs of threats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Arbitrum is now committing 35 million ARB to tokenized RWAs, <\/span><span>which<\/span><span> will generate more revenue for the DAO. It is important to note that this decision will push the allocation from Arbitrum DAO to 85 million. Effectively, this makes Arbitrum one of the largest DAOs directly investing in RWAs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Supporters <\/span><span>are <\/span><a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tally.xyz\/gov\/arbitrum\/proposal\/13323456481927947871314500108227684550647495448005726995657704713229313956489?govId=eip155:42161:0x789fC99093B09aD01C34DC7251D0C89ce743e5a4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>convinced<\/span><\/a><span> that the success of the first phase of the Stable Treasury Endowment Program (STEP) drew institutional players. Therefore, the decision to ride with the trends could aid in fast-tracking Arbitrum\u2019s and its RWA ecosystem\u2019s growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>By gaining exposure\u00a0<span>to tokenized United States Treasuries offered by BlackRock\u2019s BUIDL and other products by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/99bitcoins.com\/news\/ondo-finance-will-bring-wall-street-on-chain-everything-to-know-about-new-rwa-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ondo Finance<\/a>, the DAO is shielding itself from ARB\u2019s volatility<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The hedge means that Arbitrum will continue receiving a yield from their RWA investments regardless of prices<\/span><span>. STEP 1 already raked in over $450,000 in interest for the Arbitrum DAO, funds which can <\/span><span>be used<\/span><span> to offset operational costs.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p>(<a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/dune.com\/steakhouse\/step-dashboard\/1b508c7c-63ec-42e9-86d9-c3a86d23766e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><span>The decision to channel funds into tokenized assets also aligns<\/span><span> with broader trends. Since early 2024, the RWA ecosystem has rapidly grown from around $100,000 to nearly $70 million. This shows that investors are confident in RWAs and expect<\/span><span>\u00a0the industry to grow even more.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span>BoLD Activated, Will ARB Recover?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span>On the security front, Arbitrum also<\/span><span> released Bounded Liquidity Delay (BoLD) last week.<\/span><span> BoLD introduces <\/span><span>truly<\/span><span> permissionless validation for Ethereum layer-2 without sacrificing the speed of dispute resolution. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a post on X, Arbitrum said BoLD was thoroughly tested and found <\/span><span>secure.
