It surpassed numerous alternative coins in the process, becoming the third-largest digital asset with a market cap of $180 billion at press time as its price has retraced slightly to $3.13.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s particularly compelling about its price movements is the fact that it has remained predominantly above $2 ever since it broke above that level on December 1. Popular XRP commentator JackTheRippler outlined this milestone, indicating that the asset has \u201cnever been so long in the $2-$3 range in its entire history.\u201d As such, they predicted an upcoming major breakout should this consolidation end soon.<\/p>\n

Fellow analyst Altcoin Sherpa also weighed in<\/a> on the recent price actions, saying that \u201cdino coin price action\u201d such as XRP and LTC<\/a> is a \u201csight to behold.\u201d On the other hand, Alexander Lorenzo told<\/a> his 30K X followers that he is \u201cabout to go all in on XRP.\u201d<\/p>\n

$4.5 or $14?<\/h2>\n

The XRP Army has long been known for highly bullish comments<\/a> and beliefs even when the asset\u2019s price seemed stuck for years below $1 after the 2017\/2018 bull market, especially following the SEC\u2019s lawsuit against the company behind the cross-border token.<\/p>\n

STEPH IS CRYPTO, a digital asset commentator with over 40,000 followers, provided two such optimistic price predictions for XRP. His short-term target would require the asset to break its 2018 ATH of $3.4 and jump to $4.5. The mid-term goal is even more spectacular \u2013 $14 per XRP. Should such a massive target be reached, XRP\u2019s market cap will skyrocket to $810 billion, which would be twice as big as ETH\u2019s now.<\/p>\n
