The asset had tumbled to $2.33 during the Monday crash but came out of it swinging and soared to $3 in less than 72 hours.<\/p>\n<p>That was just the start, as it spiked to $3.2 earlier today, which became a new seven-year peak. Yet, that was taken down as well in the past hour or so and XRP spiked to $3.39 (on Bitstamp) minutes ago. Thus, it came less than 1% away from going into uncharted territory.<\/p>\n<p>The possible reasons behind this rally are quite a few, including whale accumulation, growing XRP network adoption, hype around the political changes in the US, and more. Should that fall, it\u2019s likely to \u201ccontinue its upward trajectory toward its previous all-time high of $3.4,\u201d Perplexity answered.<\/p>\n<p>ChatGPT outlined the overall shift in market dynamics since yesterday when the US CPI numbers <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-price-shoots-up-above-98-5k-following-release-of-us-december-cpi-data\/\">came out<\/a> and didn\u2019t show such a scary picture as many feared.
