Ripple\u2019s XRP has been crypto\u2019s rockstar lately, with its price reaching multi-year peaks. Several hours ago, the valuation <\/span>skyrocketed<\/span><\/a> to $3.20, representing the highest level observed since the beginning of 2018. In the following hours, XRP lost some steam and is <\/span>currently<\/span> trading at around $3.05 (per CoinGecko\u2019s data).<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the bullish landscape and the overall expectations of a further pump, one indicator suggests an incoming correction. This is the Relative Strength Index (RSI), which measures the speed and change of price movements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It varies from 0 to 100, helping traders identify potential price reversals. Readings above 70 typically signal that the asset is overbought and could be due for a pullback. On the contrary, anything below 30 might be considered a buying opportunity. One major factor that could affect XRP\u2019s future price fluctuations is the development of the lawsuit between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). <\/span><\/p>\n

The agency recently <\/span>filed<\/span><\/a> its first opening brief <\/span>as part of<\/span> its appeal against a court ruling concerning the XRP sold to retail investors on exchanges years ago.<\/span> It also insisted (once again) that Ripple\u2019s native token should <\/span>be classified<\/span> as a security.<\/span><\/p>\n
