Ripple\u2019s XRP <\/span>passed through<\/span> enhanced turbulence in the past few days. Over the weekend, its price pumped<\/a> to almost $2.60 but the start of the business week offered pain for the bulls. On January 13, XRP followed the broader decline of the cryptocurrency market and dipped below $2.40. The last 24 hours, though, witnessed a substantial resurgence and the asset is currently worth $2.53 (per CoinGecko\u2019s data).<\/span><\/p>\n

According to many industry participants, XRP has much more room for growth <\/span>in the near future<\/span> due to some key upcoming factors. Some of those include Donald Trump\u2019s inauguration as America\u2019s 47th President and the resignation of the SEC\u2019s Chairman Gary Gensler. The Republican has shown a pro-crypto stance during his presidential campaign, while the agency\u2019s leader is considered a huge enemy of the digital asset sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cXRP is gonna make a big move on January 20 because of Trump taking office and Gary Gensler resigning,\u201d one popular X user <\/span>predicted<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other market observers envisioning an incoming price pump include CRYPTOWZRD and WSB Trader Rocko. The former <\/span>claimed<\/span><\/a> XRP \u201chas flipped previous resistance to support\u201d of around $2 and is now ready to jump to a new all-time high of $4 and then $8. They said such a scenario would mimic the pre-bull run in 2017 and the subsequent rally the following year.<\/span><\/p>\n

For their part, WSB Trader Rocko referred to XRP\u2019s price chart as \u201cthe most bullish in crypto.\u201d According to them, Ripple\u2019s recent introduction of its stablecoin (RLUSD) and the company\u2019s potential connections with Donald Trump\u2019s future administration could drive the token to reach new peaks.<\/span><\/p>\n

TREAT on the Way<\/span><\/h2>\n

Shiba Inu has recently taken the main stage due to a <\/span>major<\/span> development related to its ecosystem. As <\/span>CryptoPotato<\/span><\/em> previously <\/span>reported<\/span><\/a>, the meme coin TREAT (<\/span>which <\/span>is<\/span> designed<\/span> to enhance utility and engagement across the network\u2019s projects) is scheduled to go live today (January 14).<\/span><\/p>\n

The leading cryptocurrency exchanges that have already embraced the token include KuCoin, Gate.io, Bitget, MEXC Exchange, and others. Some of those have even <\/span>announced<\/span><\/a> special airdrops to users.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gate.io has\u00a0<\/span>promised<\/span><\/a> to distribute 1,000,000 TREAT, KuCoin will\u00a0<\/span>airdrop<\/span><\/a> 3,000,000 coins, while Bitget users will\u00a0<\/span>split<\/span><\/a> 87,450,000 tokens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those willing to apply for the offer should create an account at the <\/span>aforementioned platforms<\/span>. Then, they must visit Shiba Inu\u2019s official website, provide a user ID, and deposit the designated address. Once those details are submitted, <\/span>the accounts will be <\/span>whitelisted<\/span> and \u201cready to\u00a0receive TREAT tokens.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

BTC Price Outlook<\/span><\/h2>\n

Last but not least, we will focus on the primary cryptocurrency, whose price swings have been more than evident lately. BTC started the week trading at approximately $95,000. Shortly after, though, the bears suppressed<\/a> the valuation below $90,000, the lowest point observed in two months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the bulls have recovered much of the lost ground in the past several hours, with BTC currently trading just south of $95K.

The price resurgence coincides with some optimistic forecasts coming from industry participants. <\/span>Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley<\/span>, for one,<\/span> said\u00a0<\/span><\/a>2025 could be the year for Bitcoin and crypto, which has \u201cso many tailwinds and so few headwinds.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
