The first is giveaways, which offer \u201cfree\u201d tokens, merchandise, or NFTs. \u201cRemember, free stuff is never truly free \u2013 providing personal information puts you at risk,\u201d the team warned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Second, the community should stay vigilant for phishing emails. Fraudsters often send emails to victims, claiming to be from official SHIB-related projects, thus trying to steal their login credentials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Next on the list are social media accounts. Even the things that seem free <\/span><span>often<\/span><span> come with hidden costs or risks,\u201d the team concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>The SHIFU Warning<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>Earlier this month,<\/span><span> Shibarium Trustwatch <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/watch-out-shiba-inu-shib-team-issues-a-crucial-warning-to-the-community\/\">issued<\/a> an alert <\/span><span>concerning<\/span><span> the meme coin SHIFU.<\/span><span> The team claimed that bad actors request victims to send them an email containing information about the token:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cFraudsters are asking people to <\/span><span>send them an email asking<\/span><span> how to buy and claim SHIFU or if SHIFU has not appeared in their wallet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Shibarium Trustwatch advised users to <\/span><span>stay away from<\/span><span> that scheme and not send emails to anyone. Verifying information through official channels and avoiding sharing personal data <\/span><span>is<\/span><span> also necessary.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>SHIFU is a dog-themed meme coin within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, which was introduced by Shytoshi Kusama at the beginning of the month.<\/span><span> While <\/span><span>it can be found<\/span><span> on certain decentralized exchanges, leading crypto platforms like Binance have not yet embraced it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A few weeks ago, the meme coin project <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/shiba-inu-related-project-introduces-a-special-airdrop-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>launched<\/span><\/a><span> a special airdrop. The team announced that 30% of the total SHIFU supply (30 billion tokens) will <\/span><span>be allocated<\/span><span> to the community. Of this, 22 billion SHIFU will go to holders with at least 100,000 SHIB and 100 BUBBLE.
