Bitcoin Is on Sale and Should Be Accumulated, Says Morgan Creek Capital CEO<\/a><\/p>\n

Morgan Creek Capital CEO Mark Yusko has said that bitcoin\u2019s fair value is $105,000 based on Metcalfe\u2019s Law.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking on Bitcoin Magazine TV on Wednesday, the investment management firm said<\/a> that now was the best time to buy the leading cryptocurrency as it is \u201con sale.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Metcalfe\u2019s Law, an observation by Internet entrepreneur Robert Metcalfe, states that the value of a network is proportional to the square of the number of users. Bitcoin touched a high in October 2025 of $126,080 but was recently trading<\/a> 40% lower than that, at $75,701.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo the fair value of bitcoin today, based on Metcalf\u2019s law \u2014 Tim Peterson runs a model that tracks this really nicely \u2014 it\u2019s about $105,000, but it\u2019s $75,000,\u201d Yusko said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, so it\u2019s on sale \u2014 you should accumulate things that are on sale.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yusko went on to say that bitcoin was the best way to protect one\u2019s value and that investing in companies wasn\u2019t good for the long-term.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem is over a 30-year period, equity, 85% of companies disappear over 30 years. It\u2019s amazing stat,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat you really need is something to protect your value \u2014 and historically, for 5,000 years, there was one asset: gold.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNow we\u2019ve got gold and bitcoin,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bitcoin started rallying in August following news<\/a> that the U.S. Treasury would at least double the size of its liquidity-support buyback operations. The announcement hurt the dollar but non-yielding assets have benefited.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since then, some experts have said that the so-called debasement trade \u2014 when investors buy an asset as a way to hedge against a currency losing value \u2014 is back and will benefit bitcoin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The trade was hot last year, and helped bitcoin\u2019s run, but the digital asset lost steam after October as traders turned their attention to stocks related to artificial intelligence.\u00a0<\/p>\n
