However, in the past week, it followed suit and even outperformed all of the top 20 digital assets. As <\/span>of the time<\/span> of this writing, it trades at $1.13 (per CoinGecko\u2019s data), representing a 67% increase on a seven-day scale.

The resurgence fueled <\/span>huge<\/span> enthusiasm across the XRP community, while multiple analysts predicted further gains <\/span>in the near future<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The X user Mikybull Crypto <\/span>thinks<\/span><\/a> the asset\u2019s rally has yet to start. The trader assumed XRP might experience a massive price jump if the Bitcoin (BTC) dominance declines. Currently, the primary cryptocurrency <\/span>accounts<\/span> for almost 60% of the total crypto market share. Its dominance has been on the rise since the end of 2022, and it will be interesting to see if there will be an eventual altcoin season that could cause a shift in the trend.<\/span><\/p>\n

JAVON MARKS <\/span>envisioned<\/span><\/a> a \u201cbullish breakout\u201d that could send XRP\u2019s valuation to over $3, while Crypto Ceaser was even more optimistic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The latter <\/span>thinks<\/span><\/a> the price may \u201ccool off a bit\u201d in the short term and <\/span>later<\/span> begin a journey to an all-time high of almost $8.<\/span><\/p>\n

Waiting for Gensler\u2019s Possible Resignation<\/span><\/h2>\n

One important factor that may trigger an additional price increase for Ripple\u2019s native token is <\/span>change at<\/span> the leadership of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Since 2021, the agency has been led by Gary Gensler who is known for his anti-crypto stance.<\/span> During his tenure, the SEC filed countless lawsuits against cryptocurrency businesses, including Ripple<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to many market observers, Gensler\u2019s days at the helm <\/span>are numbered<\/span>. <\/span>After <\/span>all<\/span>, Trump <\/span>promised<\/span><\/a> to fire him on day 1 <\/span>after assuming office<\/span>.<\/span> The previous <\/span>Chairmen of the regulator<\/span>, Mary Jo White and Jay Clayton, resigned days after the presidential elections in 2016 and 2020, respectively, which also <\/span>suggests<\/span><\/a> that the current leader could soon vacate his post.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The next Chair <\/span>is expected<\/a><\/span> to be pro-crypto. Such a shift could lead to a faster settlement of the Ripple v. SEC legal battle (and other cases) and positively affect XRP and the entire market.<\/span><\/p>\n
