Its official launch is scheduled for later this year, though the exact date remains unclear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ripple <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/insights\/a-new-era-of-stablecoins-ripple-usd-begins-testing-on-the-xrp-ledger-mainnet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>started<\/span><\/a><span> private beta testing for its upcoming product earlier this summer, labeling the initiative as a \u201csignificant milestone\u201d that could drive \u201cnew opportunities, liquidity, and institutional use cases for users, developers, and applications.\u201d Last week, the team <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/fundamental-ripple-xrp-update-native-stablecoin-development-progress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>minted<\/span><\/a><span> the first 185 RLUSD as the transaction fee was 0.000135 XRP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to on-chain data from XRP Scan, Ripple <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/xrpscan.com\/tx\/21753F87FD88E4FA6607233628D32C74F84536F6EF0E7C8CD9F8E30D54650192\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>burned<\/span><\/a><span> that stash on August 28. The transaction fee was slightly higher this time, equaling 0.00036 XRP. However, the sum remains insignificant when converted to USD.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The latest update surrounding RLUSD <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mcQncy\/status\/1828940110127403008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>caused<\/span><\/a><span> some X users to speculate that the beta testing might <\/span><span>be completed<\/span><span> with Ripple getting ready to release the product.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>However, the stablecoin remains unavailable for purchase or trading at this point.
