\u201cEvery attempt at a momentum recovery has failed outright,\u201d he said, adding that the altcoin market capitalization (excluding ETH) continues to slide, with a weekly close below the 200 DMA now confirmed.<\/p>\n
This is not new, as altcoins have been battered for the past eight months and have the second-longest underperformance streak since 2020.<\/p>\n
The analyst described it as a \u201cprolonged period of stagnation across the majority of altcoins, one that is pushing investors to their limits.\u201d<\/p>\n
He ended on a bullish note, stating that such periods have \u201chistorically also presented medium-term opportunities,\u201d but identifying them \u201cdemands significantly more rigorous asset selection\u201d than in previous cycles.<\/p>\n
