Binance regularly lists or delists <\/span>certain<\/span> cryptocurrencies based on numerous factors such as current market trends, regulatory environment, <\/span>and more<\/span>. Removing tokens from the world\u2019s biggest crypto exchange impacts their liquidity and credibility and could be followed by a massive price collapse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such was the case after the latest delisting spree. Earlier today (October 23), the company <\/span>announced<\/span><\/a> that the altcoins Rupiah Token (IDRT), Keep3rV1 (KP3R), Ooki Protocol (OOKI), and Unifi Protocol DAO (UNFI) will no longer be available on the platform from November 6. <\/span>Withdrawals involving these tokens will be supported<\/span> until February 6, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe <\/span>exact<\/span> trading pairs <\/span>being removed<\/span> are KP3R\/USDT, OOKI\/USDT, UNFI\/BTC, UNFI\/TRY, UNFI\/USDT, USDT\/IDRT. All trade orders will be automatically removed after trading ceases in each <\/span>respective<\/span> trading pair.<\/span><\/p>\n

The token\u2019s valuation will no longer be displayed<\/span> in your wallet <\/span>after delisting<\/span>.<\/span> To view your assets after trading ceases, please ensure you have not selected \u201cHide Small Balances\u201d in all <\/span>of<\/span> your wallets,\u201d the firm explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

While IDRT experienced only a minor price decline following the disclosure, this was not the case with the other three assets. KP3R is down almost 40% on a 24-hour scale<\/span>, OOKI<\/span> plummeted by 44%, whereas UNFI collapsed by 41%.

The Opposite Effect<\/span><\/h2>\n

Another recent Binance announcement had a polar effect, resulting in a massive price rally for the affected cryptocurrency. <\/span>As<\/span> CryptoPotato<\/span><\/em> reported<\/span><\/a> on October 22<\/span>, <\/span>the company launched 1000CATUSDT perpetual contracts\u00a0on its\u00a0futures program.<\/span> Shortly after, the meme coin Simon\u2019s Cat (CAT) saw its valuation skyrocket by 65%.<\/span><\/p>\n

A month ago, Binance <\/span>embraced<\/span><\/a> three additional meme coins on its platform: Baby\u00a0<\/span>Doge Coin<\/span> (BABYDOGE), Turbo (TURBO), and Neiro (NEIRO). Their prices also witnessed impressive pumps with NEIRO skyrocketing by a whopping 500% daily.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is important to note that Binance listed the meme coins under its seed tags category, which includes \u201cinnovative projects that might have greater volatility and risks\u201d compared to other assets. It advised users to thoroughly research before engaging with them.<\/span><\/p>\n
