He said the platform has a fraction of the tokens that other exchanges list and doesn\u2019t offer crypto staking or lending.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been forgoing revenue for the company by not going hog wild listing coins, and I think that puts us in a very unique position. Shooting at the good guys is a really bad policy.\u201d<\/p>\n He also disagrees with current SEC Chair Gary Gensler\u2019s heavyhanded approach<\/a> to crypto regulation, arguing for tailored rules and a registration system for crypto exchanges and brokers.<\/p>\n He said that if he had been chair over the past couple of years, he would have already implemented the framework that the crypto industry has been seeking.<\/p>\n \u201cI would have done things differently. I\u2019ve known Gary for a long time and have a lot of respect for Gary, but, on this one, I disagree with him.\u201d<\/p>\n Republican Representative for Michigan Bill Huizenga also endorsed the Robinhood executive, stating that \u201cUltimately, you want someone who\u2019s thoughtful, experienced, and not just ideologically politically driven.\u201d He added that this has been the problem with Gary Gensler.<\/p>\n Other candidates include former CFTC Chairman Chris Giancarlo, former SEC General Counsel Robert Stebbins, and current SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce.<\/p>\n According to blockchain betting platform Polymarket, Trump has extended his lead to 54% over rival Kamala Harris who is on 45.4%.<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s lead is up to 8.6% in the odds today.<\/p>\n He\u2019s nearing his biggest lead since Kamala Harris entered the race. pic.twitter.com\/PpJtjyxnZ0<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Polymarket (@Polymarket) October 7, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n\n However, the YouGov poll<\/a> still has Harris in the lead with 50% to Trump\u2019s 47%.
