Why The XRP Endorsement Now?<\/h2>\n

And, yeah, the XRP Army did what it always does: it treated the post like a mini event. \u201cThe smartest man in the world is buying XRP,\u201d one account, Gordon (@GordonGekko), replied \u2014 then immediately stapled the other big narrative of the day onto it: \u201cXRP is now on Solana too. Is this the start of an XRP rally?\u201d<\/p>\n

That second line isn\u2019t just vibes. Solana\u2019s official account posted<\/a> \u201cBREAKING: XRP is coming to Solana,\u201d pointing to a wrapped-asset setup that would let XRP trade and move inside Solana DeFi rails.<\/p>\n

Hex Trust, which is positioning itself as issuer\/custodian for the wrapped token (wXRP), says the product is designed to be 1:1 backed and redeemable for native XRP, using LayerZero\u2019s OFT standard and launching \u201cstarting with Solana\u201d (with more chains name-checked).<\/p>\n

So Kim\u2019s timing, intentional or not, landed right on top of a very convenient distribution channel: \u201cXRP, but DeFi-ready.\u201d If you\u2019re an XRP holder who\u2019s been watching Solana soak up memecoin liquidity and on-chain volume for the past year, that\u2019s an easy story to forward to your group chat.<\/p>\n

The funny part is Kim\u2019s recent persona has leaned hard into Bitcoin-maxi prophecy<\/a>. In the last week alone, he made dozens of Bitcoin posts via X. On December 7, he posted: \u201cIn my personal view, Bitcoin\u2019s current price is just a temporary discount caused by what seems to be market manipulation<\/a>. I think any such manipulation may disappear within a week, and then it could start accelerating toward a new ATH.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just a few days later, on December 10, he wrote: \u201cMy analysis suggests that Bitcoin may have set its bottom a few weeks ago, and we could now be entering a true supercycle.\u201d One day later, he added: \u201c\u201dMy analysis suggests that Bitcoin reaching 300K in early 2026 is a logical scenario.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Kim posted: \u201cBitcoin looks ready to break every prediction ever written. The real bull run begins when people think it\u2019s already over,\u201d before adding today: \u201cI think Bitcoin is the money of God\u201d and \u201cIn my view, one of the fastest ways to get rich is to stack Bitcoin.\u201d<\/p>\n

So why the sudden XRP detour? No explanation yet, at least publicly.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also the reality that Kim is, politely put, controversial. Korean coverage has described him as being reported as an \u201cIQ 276\u201d holder tied to mind-sports organizations, but the broader profile has drawn scrutiny and debate online, with questions about verifiability and sourcing trailing the \u201cworld\u2019s highest IQ\u201d framing.<\/p>\n

Still, crypto doesn\u2019t really wait for footnotes. A big claim, a big ticker, a hot comment section \u2014 and now an XRP-to-Solana headline to glue it together. That\u2019s plenty for a one-day narrative.<\/p>\n
