Japan\u2019s manufacturing PMI came in at 48.7<\/strong> (estimate 48.8), marking the fifth month of contraction, though business confidence hit a 10-month\u00a0high.<\/p>\n

The yen is recovering after weeks under pressure (USDJPY, EURJPY: \u20130.3%, GBPJPY: \u20130.4%).
