However, a tough teacher who tells it like it is definitely will.<\/p>\n
Sometimes, you need teachers who are going to slap you in the face, bringing you back to\u00a0reality.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s not bad at all, as we all need those wake-up calls every now and\u00a0then.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m glad to have a teacher right now who does just\u00a0that.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s what I want to discuss in this\u00a0post.<\/p>\n

In the trading community I\u2019m in, we have a weekly call every single week where we analyze and look at where the market is\u00a0at.<\/p>\n
I find these calls beneficial, as I view them as guidance to how to go about my trades for that\u00a0week.<\/p>\n
One of the instructors of the program, will go on short rants here and\u00a0there.<\/p>\n
He\u2019ll rant about why some students will deviate from the strategy we trade, especially when they\u2019re not following the\u00a0rules.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve seen it happen time and time again where some students overthink things, think they can break the rules, or doubt what they\u2019re being trained\u00a0on.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll admit: I did that once or twice early on, but boy did I learn my lessons the hard\u00a0way.<\/p>\n
I see why now I\u2019m living my greatest lesson<\/a> in patience and discipline.<\/p>\n Those two things are the only skills you need to be an effective trader.<\/p>\n Well, my instructor went on some rants and had it at times where he had to keep giving those reminders.<\/p>\n He would say something along the line\u00a0of:<\/p>\n \u201cGuys, quit overthinking it. You\u2019re making it much harder on yourself than you need it to be. If you just follow the framework and go along with our guidance, you\u2019ll do far much better than you think. This strategy works- Trying to deviate from it will make things that much\u00a0harder.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n These are the types of things he\u2019ll go over, and he\u2019s had even worse rants as\u00a0well.<\/p>\n In a way, they\u2019re all good to help remind us of what to look out\u00a0for.<\/p>\n It\u2019s something that I admire about him as\u00a0well.<\/p>\n Overtime, I\u2019ve taken his words as solid\u00a0advice.<\/p>\n But, I still do my homework and make the best calls I can\u00a0make.<\/p>\n I think we all need that type of teacher or mentor in life, as it can make difference in how you go about the remainder of your\u00a0life.<\/p>\n I give a lot of credit to him, as he\u2019s helping me (and 1400+ students) become much more wealthier in the long-run.<\/p>\n ___________________________________-<\/p>\n If I ever end up being a mentor or teacher to someone, I\u2019ll want to give my own version of \u201cThe rath of Eric has arrived\u201d.<\/p>\n From there, I\u2019ll give my own reminders and key points to stop overthinking things, and tell my students to start doing the\u00a0work.<\/p>\n If you do that, it\u2019ll be that much easier.
