Riding that wave, <strong>Chinese indices<\/strong> are also moving higher\u00a0\ud83c\udde8\ud83c\uddf3\ud83d\udcc8<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfe6 Before the U.S. session, earnings reports will come from <strong>General Motors<\/strong>, <strong>GE Aerospace<\/strong>, <strong>RTX Corp<\/strong>, <strong>Coca-Cola<\/strong>, and <strong>Lockheed Martin<\/strong>. After the bell, all eyes will be on <strong>Netflix<\/strong> and <strong>Texas Instruments<\/strong> \ud83c\udfac\ud83d\udcca<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\uddef\ud83c\uddf5 In Japan, stocks fell after <strong>Sanae Takaichi<\/strong>, a supporter of loose fiscal policy, became Prime Minister. The <strong>USD\/JPY<\/strong> pair jumped more than <strong>0.5%<\/strong>, while <strong>gold<\/strong> dropped over <strong>0.7%<\/strong> to around <strong>$4,327<\/strong> per ounce and <strong>silver<\/strong> lost more than <strong>1%<\/strong>\u00a0\ud83e\ude99\ud83d\udcc9<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcb5 In forex, the <strong>dollar<\/strong> is strengthening\u200a\u2014\u200a<strong>EUR\/USD<\/strong> slid to <strong>1.162<\/strong>. <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong> also slipped over <strong>2%<\/strong>, trading near <strong>$107,000<\/strong> compared with almost <strong>$111,000<\/strong> yesterday \u20bf\u2b07\ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfdb\ufe0f The <strong>U.S. government shutdown<\/strong> continues, but optimism remains after comments from the <strong>White House<\/strong> that it may end this week.
