In other words, Morgan Stanley will soon let all its wealth management clients, including those with retirement accounts, invest in crypto. No asset-cap required.<\/p>\n<p>The move marks a major policy shift for the world\u2019s largest wealth manager and reflects Wall Street\u2019s accelerating embrace of digital assets since President Donald Trump\u2019s administration took a friendlier stance toward crypto.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It follows Morgan Stanley\u2019s recent plan to enable trading of bitcoin and other crypto on <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/morgan-stanley-to-enable-bitcoin-trading-for-etrade-clients-in-first-half-of-2026\">its E-Trade platform<\/a>. The bank\u2019s recent report describes bitcoin as a \u201cdigital gold\u201d and a legitimate real asset, noting its growing maturity despite ongoing volatility.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Stanley said that clients should regularly rebalance their multi-asset portfolios \u2014 ideally every quarter, or at least once a year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch rebalancing will dampen the potential for swelling positions, which could mean outsized portfolio-level volatility and cryptocurrency risk contributions in periods of macro and market stress,\u201d the report read.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The report recommended gaining exposure through exchange-traded products to manage volatility and prevent portfolio distortion during strong uptrends.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The approach indicates a measured but open stance toward integrating crypto within traditional investment frameworks. This news corresponds with bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/markets\/bitcoin-price-soars-to-122000-standard-chartered-projects-200000-btc-by-year-end\">reaching<\/a> higher and higher highs.<\/p>\n<p>On August 7, President Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/markets\/bitcoin-surges-to-117k-as-trump-signs-401k-crypto-order-plans\">signed<\/a> an executive order to expand investment options in retirement plans under ERISA.
