People in the industry are starting to talk like Solana spot ETFs are finally about to happen. Issuers are looking at the window between October 6 and 10 as the most likely time for the SEC to give <\/span>the green light<\/span>. There have been some <\/span>real<\/span> changes in how the SEC is handling crypto funds, and those changes are fueling <\/span>confidence<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind the Hype: What\u2019s Changed<\/span><\/h3>\n

A <\/span>big part<\/span> of the momentum <\/span>comes<\/span> from the SEC\u2019s decision to adopt what are <\/span>called<\/span> generic listing standards for crypto exchange-traded products.<\/span> That move <\/span>basically removes<\/span> the need for ETF issuers to file a separate rule change every time they want to launch a new <\/span>crypto<\/span> ETF.<\/span> Instead of a <\/span>long, messy<\/span> process for each token, the path is now <\/span>a lot more<\/span> streamlined.<\/span><\/p>\n

A bunch of<\/span> issuers have already gone back and updated their S-1 filings. They\u2019re trying to smooth over any issues related to staking or technical details before things reach the final stage. Some insiders say they\u2019re feeling pretty confident that Solana\u2019s ETF registration statements will go live sometime between early and <\/span>mid-October<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Could Disrupt the Timeline<\/span><\/h3>\n

That said, nothing is locked in just yet. One of the <\/span>biggest<\/span> risks is a potential government shutdown. If that happens, the SEC would effectively go dark. That means no approvals, no progress, and no green light until the government reopens. <\/span>Some people close to the filings say that if a shutdown <\/span>happens<\/span>, ETF approvals during that period are <\/span>pretty much<\/span> off the table.<\/span><\/p>\n
